THE ANTIQUE COLLECTIVE

Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 August 2026

By using The Antique Collective you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Estimates are not appraisals

This is the most important term in this document, so it is first.

The values The Antique Collective shows you are estimates generated by an artificial intelligence model from a photograph. They are not appraisals.

Specifically:

An estimate is produced by a model looking at a photograph. It cannot handle the piece, check joinery, read maker's marks that are not visible, verify provenance, assess a repair, or know what your local market will pay this month. It can be confidently wrong.

Estimates are shown as a range with a stated confidence level for exactly this reason. Treat them as a starting point for your own research, not as a number to rely on. You are responsible for the price you set and for anything you tell a buyer. If a piece may be valuable, get it appraised by a qualified professional.

2. Generated staging images

The app produces a photorealistic image of your piece in a room that it was never actually in. The room, its lighting, and its contents are invented.

The app labels these images as generated, and you should too. When you list an item for sale, post the generated image alongside genuine photographs of the actual piece — never instead of them. Presenting a generated image as a photograph of the real item may mislead buyers, and may breach the rules of the marketplace you are posting to. That is your responsibility, not ours.

3. Listing copy

The marketplace text the app writes is a draft. Read it before you post it. Check that the condition described matches the actual piece, and correct anything that does not. You are responsible for the accuracy of your own listings.

4. Your account

You need an account to use the app. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

5. Your photographs

You keep ownership of the photographs you upload. By uploading them you give us permission to process them in order to provide the service, which includes sending them to our AI processors as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload photographs of people, anything unlawful, or anything you do not have permission to use.

6. Subscriptions

The free tier includes a limited number of listings. Dealer is an auto-renewing subscription with a monthly listing allowance.

Where you subscribe determines who bills you:

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it through the store you bought it from.

Refunds for purchases made through Apple or Google are handled by them under their own policies; we cannot issue them.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, access other users' data, resell access to the service, use the service to build a competing product, or submit content that is unlawful.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it. Features may change. The AI models we rely on are operated by third parties and may change, degrade, or become unavailable. If a listing fails to generate, it is not counted against your allowance.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Antique Collective and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue — including any loss arising from selling an item for less than an estimate suggested, or from a buyer dispute over a listing.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
