Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This policy explains what The Antique Collective collects, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read rather than skimmed past.
The short version
- We collect your email address and the photographs you upload.
- Your photographs are sent to two outside companies — Anthropic and Google — so their AI models can identify the piece and generate a staged room image.
- We keep your listings so you can come back to them. You can delete your account, and everything with it, from inside the app at any time.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
Account information. Your email address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see your password.
Photographs you upload. Images of furniture you choose to photograph or select from your library.
Listings we generate for you. The identification, estimated value range, staging description, generated room image, and marketplace copy produced from each photograph.
Usage records. A count of listings created, used to enforce plan limits, and technical measurements such as the size of each request. We do not track your behaviour across other apps or websites.
Subscription status. If you subscribe, our payment providers (Apple, Google, or Stripe, depending on where you subscribed) tell us whether your subscription is active. We never receive your card number.
Where your photographs go
This is the part most worth understanding, so it is stated plainly.
When you create a listing, your photograph is sent from your device to our server, and from there to:
Anthropic (the Claude API), which examines the photograph to identify the piece, estimate its value, plan the staged scene, and write the listing text. Anthropic's API terms state that inputs submitted through the API are not used to train their models.
Google (the Gemini API), which receives the same photograph and generates the staged room image.
Both are processed automatically. No employee of The Antique Collective reviews your photographs as a matter of routine.
Your photographs are also stored in our own storage (Supabase), so your listings still work when you come back to them.
If you are not comfortable with your photographs being sent to these companies, do not upload them. That is the core function of the app and it cannot be turned off.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your photographs or listings with other users.
- We do not use your data for advertising or build advertising profiles.
- We do not use your photographs to train our own models.
How long we keep things
Listings and their images are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Account records are kept while your account exists. Usage records are kept for as long as needed to administer your plan.
When you delete your account, we remove your account record, your listings, and the stored images, and the deletion cascades through our database. Backups may retain copies for a short period before rotating out.
Our processors keep their own logs under their own retention policies:
- Anthropic: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Supabase: https://supabase.com/privacy
- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
- Stripe: https://stripe.com/privacy
Deleting your account
Open Account in the app and choose Delete account. This is immediate and cannot be undone. Your listings and stored photographs are removed along with the account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy of it. Account deletion in the app covers most of this directly. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
Children
The Antique Collective is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
A note on the estimates
Values shown in the app are estimates generated by an AI model from photographs. They are not appraisals. They are not prepared by a certified appraiser, they carry no professional opinion, and they should not be relied on for insurance, tax, probate, resale guarantees, or any other purpose requiring a formal valuation. What a piece actually sells for may differ substantially. See our Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Our database uses row-level security so one account cannot read another's data. Photographs are stored privately and served through expiring signed links. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
